What is QiGong

In the ancient Chinese civilization, and especially in the martial arts and in some schools of philosophy as that Taoist, the study of the QiGong represents the fundamental demand with the purpose to get strength, health, longevity and comfort, all in perfect harmony. This ancient martial art that, to level of comfort and harmony, you is practised by million of people in China, it results to also have spread more and more in West.
The martial QiGong, that is used in the practice of the traditional KungFu, has as end that to strengthen the body.
The QiGong or ChiKung, are a very ancient discipline of the Chinese art and preserve a millennial history.
The term QiGong is formed from two words, where Qi (KI in Japanese, PRANA in Indian…) it points out the vital energy, the same essence of the life, Gong refers instead, to the movement, to the job, to the methodicalness of the study, to the constant training. This way QiGong (literally "to work the energy"), it represents the methodic and constant study of the movement of the vital energy inside the body, harmonizing the structure of it with the mind and the spirit. This complex of physical, mental and respiratory techniques, is broadly used in the treatment of numerous illnesses and to favor the longevity. Scientific studies have shown that it is really effective to preserve the present energy in our body.
And' a technique that to the respiraton it associates the meditation and the relaxation.
Under the profile technical straps the posture, improves the respiraton and gives serenity to the spirit. This method is based on the principles of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and it allows to maintain or to get a good state of health.
Various schools of QiGong exist with different finalities, but all contemplate to an increase of the vitality of the whole organism stimulating the circulation of the blood and the called energy Qi. The iron shirt, a method of study of the KungFu, was learned as defended because it developed an excellent quality and quantity of Qi (vital energy) with a practice of external techniques of QiGong, as for instance the Yi Jin Jing.

They are three the fundamental characteristics on which the Qi Gong founds him:
